Volvo Places LNG Engine Development on Hold
• October 13, 2014
On Wednesday, Volvo Trucks announced it has modified its North American alternative fuels plan. Volvo Trucks has put on hold its plans to launch its own compression ignition LNG engine. The company says development of LNG infrastructure to support long-haul trucking has been modest over the last year, and the regional haul and dedicate route markets are being met with the company’s current natural gas line up. Volvo will continue to offer spark-ignited natural gas engines in its VNM and VNL models.
