GO NATURAL CNG LAUNCHES NEW FUEL INTERFACE MODULE
Go Natural CNG announced it has launched the next generation of its Light Duty Fuel Interface Module (FIM). This new FIM integrates components necessary for high-pressure natural gas vehicle conversion into a single, high-pressure manifold. One of the benefits of the redesigned FIM is that it brings the module into compliance with the National Fire Protection Association’s code 52-2013. This manifold integrates a controlled-flow defueling/depressurization valve, which can easily connect to a vent stack or capture system using a defueling hose. Other benefits of the new FIM design include optional mounting holes for more discretion in installation points and a decrease in overall product dimensions, for improved installation in vehicles with limited space and ground clearance.
Like the original FIM design, the redesigned product combines a coalescing filter, quarter turn valve, pressure gauge, check valve, and defueling valve. The FIM is factory leak and proof tested. The FIM’s symmetrical design and spare ports with clearly marked laser engravings aid in easy installation and system assembly. It also includes an analog pressure gauge so technicians can verify the system depressurization before servicing, and provides sufficient engine fuel flow for engines displacing up to 8.0L.
