Vehicles for every route.
Off- and on-road, marine, rail and more are running on natural gas
Never before have there been so many natural gas products and services available
Never before have there been so many natural gas products and services available
There are more than 135,000 NGVs on U.S. roads today and more than 23 million worldwide.
There are nearly 1,600 public CNG/LNG stations in the U.S. and Canada. More and more are dispensing 100% RNG.
In the U.S. and Canada, about 50 different manufacturers produce 100 models of light-, medium-, and heavy-duty NGVs and engines.
WHAT IS HYDROGEN?
Hydrogen is the simplest, most abundant element in the universe
Naturally occurring hydrogen — often called geologic hydrogen — exists trapped beneath Earth’s surface. But as a colorless, odorless, and tasteless gas that is 15 times lighter than air, hydrogen can be difficult to find and harness in nature.
SAVINGS
Heavy-duty, high mileage fleets consume enough fuel for owners and operators to see a pay back in as little as 18–24 months.
FLEETS
Fleets across the country are switching to NGVs
Over the Road
These heavy-duty high-mileage trucks consume a lot of fuel and benefit from the lower cost of natural gas.
Transit
Transit agencies across the country are moving to NGVs, in fact, over 14,000 natural gas buses are on the road today.
Refuse
Over 17,000 natural gas refuse trucks operate across the country and about 60% of new trucks on order are NGVs.
Schools
More than 150 U.S. school districts operate 5,500 natural gas powered vehicles in their fleets to transport students
Airports
Air-side NGVs include runway street sweepers, baggage tows, dump and plow trucks, grounds keeping tractors, food service vans, security and parking enforcement cars, and other airport staff vehicles. Curb-side applications include airport-owned and privately operated parking, hotel and rental car shuttles, door-to-door shuttles, and taxicabs.
Denver International Airport: With 95 natural gas vehicles operating under the airport's directive consuming over 770,000 gasoline gallon equivalents annually, Denver International Airport is an NGV industry leader in the airport transport sector. DIA is the largest airport in North America by land area and second largest in the world, so its sizable transit bus fleet is instrumental to passenger transport and a properly functioning operation. The enormous airport boasts five private CNG stations on property plus a nearby public station located at the rental car center. Investments in fueling infrastructure currently underway will allow third party shuttle companies and air freight operators to explore and expand their own fleets of natural gas vehicles. DIA is committed to soon fueling its entire natural gas vehicle fleet with RNG while exploring opportunities to encourage other operators serving the airport to do the same.
HIGH HORSEPOWER
Powerful NGVs are found by land, sea or rail
Off-road, marine, and railroad are three demanding high horsepower segments leveraging the benefits of natural gas to significantly reduce fuel costs.

LIGHT-DUTY
Natural Gas is not just for heavy-duty vehicles
In the light- and medium-duty sectors, there are multiple applications well suited for natural gas, especially for commercial utility, service, delivery, and work fleets.
