NGVAmerica Hosts Successful VW Settlement Webinar

NGVAmerica hosted a VW Settlement Webinar on Wednesday, May 23 at 3:30 – 4:30 ET. The VW Settlement Webinar was attended by more than 100 individuals and included an update on state efforts to develop their Environmental Mitigation Plans, recent activities of NGVAmerica, and an overview of the Heavy-Duty Vehicle Emissions Calculator (HDVEC).

Sherrie Merrow provided an update on NGVAmerica activities, tools, and resources.  Andy Burnham with Argonne National Laboratory provided an overview of the HDVEC tool. Earlier this year, Argonne National Laboratory launched HDVEC, an online resource based on data from Argonne’s AFLEET and GREET models and EPA’s MOVES model. It was created to provide state officials and fleet managers with an accurate tool to gauge emissions reductions across various medium- and heavy-duty vehicle project options affiliated with the Volkswagen Environmental Mitigation Trust Settlement.
