Montana and Wyoming Issue Volkswagen Settlement Grant Funding Notices

State authorities in Montana have announced plans to provide $2.5 million in new funding to offset the cost of new, alternative buses. New diesel buses are not eligible for funding and the program requires removing from services existing buses that have more than 3 years of remaining life. The current funding opportunity opened on January 30, 2019 and the deadline for submitting applications is March 27, 2019.

The Montana Department of Environmental Quality will hold a webinar in February to provide more details on the opportunity; the date and time of the webinar have not yet been set. 

Wyoming authorities also have released a new funding opportunity worth $750,000.

The opportunity is open to a variety of different measures intended to reduce nitrogen oxide emissions. The deadline for submitting applications is March 31, 2019.
