AGA SYSTEMS RECEIVES EPA CERTIFICATION FOR 2014 GM EQUINOX AND TERRAIN
On Monday, AGA Systems (not associated with the American Gas Association) announced that it has received full EPA Certification for bi-fuel CNG applications on the 2014 General Motors Chevrolet Equinox and GMC Terrain line of compact SUVs equipped with the 2.4 L Direct Injection engine. The systems come in a Cargo Configuration (55 cu. ft. cargo capacity) and Passenger Configuration (five seats). The SUVs achieved a fuel economy rating of 33 mpg on highway test results. “This system represents some significant CNG vehicle firsts: the first bi-fuel compact SUV and the first GM direct-injection engine for which full EPA Certification has been awarded in a bi-fuel configuration,” said Bryan Wilcox, Vice President of AGA Systems.
