Waste Management of North Valley has added six new medium duty CNG refuse trucks to its fleet in Chico, California. The new trucks will fuel at the local Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) fueling station. “We are proud to be the first and only waste and recycling collection company in the area to operate the CNG trucks, which helps keep the air in our community clean,” said district manager Ryan West. Waste Management also implemented route optimization software and idle reduction systems to save fuel and further reduce emissions. More CNG vehicles are expected to be added to the 14 vehicle fleet in the future.
