Amp Trillium Opens First CNG Station for Jacksonville, Florida
On Thursday, amp Trillium, the joint venture between ampCNG and Trillium CNG, and Champion Brands Incorporated (CBI), a malt beverage distributor servicing Northeast Florida, held a grand opening event for the first-ever public access CNG station in Jacksonville, Florida. The new station is located off of Highway 1 near the intersection of I-295 and I-95 in Jacksonville’s Southside Industrial Park. “This project is important not only to Jacksonville and our region, but also to the future of our economic viability and our goal of making Jacksonville the transportation and logistics hub of America,” said Earl Benton, president/CEO Champion Brands. The station includes two dual hose dispensers and features Trillium CNG’s proprietary fast-fill hydraulic intensifier compressor. The amp Trillium station is easily accessible for heavy duty trucks, and will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The station host, Champion Brands, has begun replacing their diesel fleet with CNG trucks. The first wave of CNG trucks hit the road October 1, 2014. Their diesel fleet will be fully replaced with CNG trucks by July 2017.
