On Monday, Applied LNG announced today that construction has started on the first liquefaction train of its Midlothian LNG Plant. As reported last week, Applied LNG recently closed a $22.5 million senior secured loan to complete the funding of this project. The first liquefaction train at the Midlothian Plant is expected to be completed by mid-2015. This will be the company’s third liquefier along with the two currently in operation in Topock, Arizona, and will increase Applied LNG’s production capacity to 258,000 LNG gallons per day.
