Trillium CNG Opens Fast-Fill CNG Station in Tennessee
On Wednesday, Trillium CNG opened a Pacific Pride fast-fill CNG station in Nashville, Tennessee, which was built and will be operated and maintained by Trillium. The public access Tri Star station is located approximately one mile south of the I-65 and I-24 split and will serve as the primary southeast fueling location for Paper Transport’s 100 vehicle fleet of natural gas trucks. The grand opening included a ribbon cutting, station tour, and fueling demonstration. Members of Middle Tennessee Clean Fuels, government officials and local area fleets joined Tri Star Energy and Trillium CNG at the event. “The station supports our mission of reducing dependence on foreign petroleum in Tennessee through the use of domestically produced compressed natural gas,” said Atha Comiskey, executive director, Middle Tennessee Clean Fuels. “The number of fleets switching to CNG is increasing and we are proud of Tri Star and Trillium for seeing the need to offer this lower costing fuel.” The station uses a public access card reader system and is designed to allow easy access in and out by heavy duty fleet trucks. The two dual hose dispensers allow two semitrailers to fuel at the same time, and features Trillium CNG’s proprietary fast-fill hydraulic intensifier compressor.
