Spire Holds Grand Opening for its First CNG Station
On Thursday, the Laclede Group debut of its first Spire Natural Gas Fueling station near Lambert-St. Louis International Airport in Missouri. Rich Kolodziej joined state and local dignitaries and Laclede and Siemens executives to celebrate the fueling station’s official grand opening. The station is located near Lambert and I-70 and serves a number of airport shuttles, trucking fleets, school buses and passenger vehicles that run on CNG. “Since opening, the station is already exceeding expectations,” said Mike Spotanski, president of Spire. The station, which is open to the public 24/7, was built to accommodate both Class-8 heavy duty trucks and light duty passenger vehicles. The station is monitored around the clock with surveillance monitors and is well lit for customers who fuel overnight. Spire offers both private and public fueling solutions that includes complete financing with no capital outlay, design and construction services, operations and maintenance support.
