IGS CELEBRATES GRAND OPENING OF STATION IN CHARLESTON

On Tuesday, IGS CNG Services celebrated the grand opening of its new CNG fueling station in Charleston, West Virginia. The new public station, the second to be opened by IGS in the state, is part of the company’s $10 million dollar investment to develop natural gas fueling infrastructure along the I-79 corridor. “As we continue to diversity our state’s energy industry, it is important that we utilize this affordable and reliable alternative fuel source,” said Gov. Earl Ray Tomblin. “Charleston’s new CNG fueling center opens a door to so many opportunities in the Mountain State.” A number of fleets operating in the area have already partnered with IGS by committing to fuel vehicles along the I-79 Corridor, including Chesapeake Energy, Antero Resources and EQT Corporation. In addition, the Charleston station will serve a growing number of vehicles with the West Virginia Department of Highways. “Opening Charleston’s CNG fueling station demonstrates the commitment we and our partners have to support the general public’s desire for multiple fueling options, which is the way of the future,” said Al Schopp, Chief Administrative Officer and Regional VP Appalachia, Antero Resources.
