Applied LNG and Providence Shipping Group Partner to Grow LNG Use

Energy solutions provider, Applied LNG and Providence Shipping Group, Inc. have entered into a strategic agreement to expand the use of LNG and renewable LNG (RLNG) in the marine and high-horsepower (HHP) sectors.

“With new global emissions standards imminent, the marine shipping and HHP industries are increasingly looking at liquefied natural gas as an alternative to other fuels” said Ray Watkins, VP of Business Strategy.

Applied LNG, through its RLNG, which is estimated to result in 70 percent lower greenhouse gas emissions than from equivalent gasoline or diesel fuel, is committed to supporting the transition to a lower-carbon energy future.
