Maryland Alternative Fuel Infrastructure Program Now Open
The Maryland Energy Administration (MEA) has opened the Alternative Fuel Infrastructure Program (AFIP), which is intended to aid in the development of public access, alternative fuel refilling infrastructure in the state of Maryland. This competitive grant program provides financial assistance to aid in the development of public access, alternative fuel refilling infrastructure in the state of Maryland.
This technology neutral grant program is intended to alleviate these range anxiety concerns by increasing the number of alternative fuel refilling stations across the state. These stations will be needed to facilitate travel to and through the state and enable the flow of people and goods throughout the region.
Program guidelines and application forms can be found at the program website. Applications may be submitted to Michael Jones at michael.jones1@maryland.gov. Applications are due by 5:00 p.m. EST on February 10, 2017.
