Washington Gas and Trillium CNG to Open Public Natural Gas Fueling Station
At a formal ribbon cutting ceremony held in Frederick, Maryland, Washington Gas celebrated the opening of the first of three public CNG fueling stations. The station is owned by Washington Gas and will be operated and maintained by Trillium CNG.
“I applaud Washington Gas for introducing the first publicly accessible compressed natural gas fueling station in the county,” said Frederick County Executive, Jan Gardner.
The Frederick station will be open to the public 24 hours a day, seven days a week and will accept all major credit and fuel cards. Later this summer, Washington Gas and Trillium CNG will open a second public CNG fueling station in Forestville, Maryland. A third station is being planned for the District of Columbia.
