NGVAmerica Urges Congress to Support Tax Extenders, LNG Tax Fix

Late last week, NGVAmerica sent a letter to Congress signed by an additional 31 trade associations and NGVAmerica member companies. The letter conveys NGVAmerica’s support for: (1) the retroactive reinstatement and extension of the expired Alternative Fuel Excise Tax Credit and the Alternative Fuel Vehicle Refueling property credit; (2) modifications of the highway excise tax on LNG so that it is imposed on an energy equivalency basis; and (3) the lowering of the value of the Alternative Fuel Excise Tax Credit for LNG so that the credit is based on the energy content of a diesel gallon.
