TruStar Energy to Build Large Public-Private CNG Station in Ohio

On Tuesday, TruStar Energy announced a contract award to build a large private time-fill / public fast-fill CNG fueling station for Kimble Recycling & Disposal in Canton, Ohio. The station will be built to time-fill up to 55 Kimble refuse trucks overnight, while allowing public fueling at their facilities in Canton. “At present, all of our trucks at our Canton location are filling offsite, which means we lose efficiencies,” said Kimble director of operations, Keith Walker. “We are excited to have them fuel at our new station—using our gas.” Kimble owns and operates over 600 gas wells in Ohio and uses that gas to fuel their expanding garbage truck fleet. The Canton station represents the second CNG fueling station for Kimble. TruStar Energy also built Kimble’s first station three years ago in Twinsburg, Ohio. That station, a large private time-fill station, was designed to fuel 65 CNG garbage trucks overnight. TruStar Energy construction crews will break ground sometime late in September and the station is scheduled to be in operation by December.
