Trillium Opens CNG Station in North Carolina

Trillium CNG has completed construction of a new public access Class-8 accessible CNG fueling station on the southwest side of Charlotte, North Carolina. The station is part of an agreement with Frito-Lay North America, who selected Trillium CNG to design, build, operate and maintain CNG stations to serve the company’s fleet of natural gas tractor- trailers. The new CNG station is located about one mile from I-485 and I-77, two major interstates that serve the greater Charlotte Metropolitan area. The CNG station will operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week and uses Trillium CNG’s proprietary fast-fill hydraulic intensifier compressor. There are two fueling lanes today with the ability to add an additional lane as demand increases.
