Kwik Trip Opening CNG Station in Iowa
Kwik Trip, the Wisconsin-based chain of convenience Stores, announced that it will bring CNG to its new station in Davenport, Iowa, opening this August. In addition to traditional gasoline, the site will offer CNG and diesel fuel with dispensers located at a separate heavy-duty island for easy access. Kwik Trip held a free educational seminar on natural gas on July 10th. Specific topics discussed included natural gas basics, CNG engines and vehicle offerings, real world experiences and ROI. Commercial sales representatives were on hand to offer private fuel consultations for fleets. Kwik Trip has committed to developing a functional CNG vehicle fuel infrastructure, which now includes 25 locations throughout Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa. Kwik Trip also owns and operates over 90 NGVs, ranging from light-duty vehicles to heavy-duty Class 8 trucks. Through its own anchor fleet, Kwik Trip can test, promote and educate Kwik Trip consumers about the benefits of natural gas as a vehicle fuel.
