CALIFORNIA SCHOOL DISTRICT COMPLETES NATURAL GAS PROJECT
The Rim of the World Unified School District, which serves California’s San Bernardino County, has completed its CNG Transportation Facility. The new facility, which includes a time-fill CNG station and modified garage maintenance facility, was completed in collaboration with the South Coast Air Quality Management District (AQMD) and the Mobile Source Air Pollution Reduction Review Committee (MSRC), which provided Clean Transportation Funding. The new maintenance facility features new infrared gas catalytic heaters, new roof exhaust fans, new lift system to accommodate CNG buses and a gas detection system connected to alarms, fans and an automatic shutoff system. The facility will support the school districts 14 CNG school buses that were acquired through various grants.
