NGV MARKET ENGAGEMENT ENCOURAGED AT ILLINOIS MUNICIPAL UTILITY GATHERING
On Friday, NGVAmerica made the case for NGV market engagement at the Illinois Public Energy Agency (IPEA) Annual Conference in Effingham, Illinois. IPEA represents small- to medium-sized municipal gas distribution companies in the state. Stephe Yborra presented an NGV overview including market metrics, trends and projections, and then presented the case for NGV adoption by fleets, suggesting ways IPEA members might work together to engage businesses that operate throughout the state. Following Stephe’s mini-workshop, Argonne National Laboratory’s Marcy Rood Werpy and St. Louis Clean Cities Coalition’s Kevin Herdler briefly outlined grants, rebates and other assistance available through the Illinois EPA’s Green Fleets Program and the state’s Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity’s Alternative Fuel Research and Infrastructure Grant Program.
