TRUSTAR ENERGY BUILDING CNG STATION FOR INDIANA REFUSE FLEET
• January 27, 2014
On Tuesday, TruStar Energy announced it is constructing a new public fast-fill CNG station for the Muncie Sanitary District in Muncie, Indiana. The station, which is slated for completion in May 2014, will initially serve to fuel the city’s trash truck fleet, which is currently converting the entire 12 truck fleet to CNG. The station will feature two dispensers and four hoses backed by two Ariel 200 horsepower compressors capable of producing nearly six GGE per minute. The Muncie Police Department has already converted a police cruiser to CNG in anticipation of the new station. Other city officials say they are looking into the possibility of converting their fleets as well.
