TTP Releases New Federal Advocacy Guide

Document Details Policy Important to Clean Commercial Transportation

Washington, DC – The Transport Project today released a guide for elected federal leaders and regulators detailing key policy initiatives important to achieving a clean commercial transportation future. The document encourages the promotion of transportation energy solutions that work today and details how renewable natural gas (RNG) motor fuel moves the U.S. forward.

“Existing policies that only focus on incentivizing electric trucks are hindering efforts to accelerate the move to cleaner, domestically fueled trucks,” said TTP President Daniel Gage. “Fleets that use RNG-fueled trucks save money, slash emissions, and deploy and refuel new, clean trucks immediately.”

The Transport Project’s specific public policy requests include:

  • Fix the EPA Phase 3 GHG emissions rule
  • Deny California waivers
  • Extend the Alternative Fuel Tax Credit
  • Pass the RNG Incentive Act

The document is being shared with members of the 119th Congress as well as incoming Trump administration officials.
